I’m a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who specializes in women’s whole body wellness and female adult acne, author of Glow: The Nutritional Approach to Naturally Gorgeous Skin, Beauty Blend mixologist, and the blogger behind everything you’ll find here on Body Unburdened — where I’ve been shared my best healthy living tips and tidbits with millions of readers since 2013.

Around here, we don’t believe in sacrificing health in the name of beauty (or vice versa!), know that a glowing outside starts with a healthy inside, indulge in food that’s both delicious and nutritious, and believe that healthy living doesn’t need to feel like a chore or impossible goal. I started Body Unburdened in 2013—just as I was beginning my own health journey—as a hub to document everything I was learning, and share it with friends and family. But soon I realized more than just my parents were reading my blog posts! Now many years later, millions of people from all over the world have spent time in my little corner of the internet, and tens of thousands have joined the tribe by joining the Body Unburdened email newsletter.

My growing (and curious!) readership inspired me to become a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. They had questions and I wanted to provide the right answers! Little did I know that this little blog would completely change my life path, and I am so grateful for it.


In 2017, my first (OK and only… for now!) published book hit the shelves – maybe you’ve even spotted it in your local Whole Foods or Barnes & Noble!

Glow: The Nutritional Approach to Naturally Gorgeous Skin was inspired by one question I kept getting over and over from blog readers: “Nadia, what are the best natural skincare products to help me get clear skin!”

From my Nutritional Therapy training, independent research poring over hundreds of scientific studies about acne and other skin conditions, own personal struggle with adult acne, and experience working with clients, I knew the answer wasn’t found in a bottle but on a dinner plate. In other words, diet is the key to healthy, clear, glowing skin! After all, the skin is the body’s largest organ and the body is one complex interconnected system. So how could it not be!?


My simple, all-natural skincare recipes have always been some of the most visited blog posts on Body Unburdened. And for many years, many readers have been asking me to bottle up my best recipes for them! And for many years, this was a big dream and goal of mine — a big, very intimidating dream!

In late 2018, I finally answered this call and took the leap! I started with my absolute personal favorite skincare product — face oil blends. The Body Unburdened Beauty Blends harness all of Mother Nature’s goodness in one tiny, antioxidant- and moisture-packed bottle.

This journey has been SO. MUCH. FUN. I’m currently working on new product formulations and plan to expand soon!
