I’m a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who helps women look and feel their absolute best, a published author (you can check out my book here!), a non-toxic living advocate, and the lady behind everything you’ll find here at Body Unburdened.
Right now, I’m probably either… eating an avocado, smearing an avocado on my face (makes for a killer hydrating face mask!), doing yoga in my living room while watching whatever show I happen to be Netflix binging on at the moment, or outside hanging with Mother Nature and my other BFF (my sweet ginger husband you see right over there!).
I used to feel pretty crappy but brushed it off as “normal” since, hey, it had become my normal. Tired, bloated, gassy, moody, period cramps from h-e-double-hockey-sticks. And to make matters worse, I had a complexion that literally made me cry and sometimes even skip work (I’m talkin’ about you, adult acne!).
During this time, I ate a lot of “health” foods that were pretty heavily processed and spent a small fortune on harsh, irritating skincare products and prescriptions that just never held up to their promises. *sigh*
But here’s the thing: I wasn’t addressing the root causes of these symptoms. And so lo and behold, once I finally dug deep and worked to balance my hormones, fix my gut, give my liver some extra lovin’, and balance my blood sugar levels, everything changed.
Now I help other women take control over their health and their skin (we can set up a time to chat here!) and share my best tips and tidbits when it comes to a holistically healthy lifestyle here on the blog.
We can give the best version of ourselves to our friends, families, careers, and hobbies. Those things that light us up and make our lives full.
And we feel our best when our bodies are properly nourished and cared for.
In other words: good health allows us to live our lives to the absolute fullest! And so healthy living is not only preventative care that will add more years to your life, but also more life to your years.
By this point, it’s probably pretty clear that I’m a firm believer in a non-toxic lifestyle. Because these chemicals that we interact with on a daily basis DO profoundly affect our health: they not only stress our livers and detox pathways, but they also interfere with our hormones and put us at a greater risk of disease.
That’s just not a fun way to live!
I believe a healthy lifestyle should be effortless. This is exactly what I want to help you achieve.
If yes, then…
