Beauty Blends FAQs

Q: I have oily skin. Shouldn’t I avoid putting oil on my face?

A: No! Now I know you’ve been told time and time again to avoid oil at all costs in absolutely all your skincare products. But this is a crying shame!

Because nutrient-rich oils are one of the best ways to nourish and protect your skin.

In fact, your skin often produces more oil to compensate for harsh, drying products, whereas applying the right oils on your skin makes your skin happy and stop working-overtime (i.e. produce less oil!).

Q: I have blemishes and clogged pores. Shouldn’t I avoid putting oil on my face?

A: Again, no! You know the whole “like dissolves like” principle? Well zits are essentially dead skin cells and your skin’s natural sebum (the skin cells block the pore and cause the oil to backup). What is going to dissolve this oily mess little mess in your pore? Water? Nope – water and oil don’t mix. Oil? Yes! Oil dissolves oil.

So applying the proper oils to your face will help to break up clogged pores and keep them clear.

As an added benefit, the oils in Beauty Blend Nº2 naturally combat blemish-causing bacteria and heal current blemishes quickly.

Q: How do I use the Beauty Blends?

A: There are 2 ways to use the beauty blends:

  1. Use the Beauty Blends just like any other moisturizer (my personal prefered method). After washing your face, apply 5-8 drops (more liberally at night and sparingly in the morning), gently rubbing it in your skin. Your Beauty Blend should be the last step in your skincare routine, applied after any and all water-based products such a toners, mists, or serums.
  2. Use the Beauty Blends to wash your face as with the oil cleansing method. Using this method, rub about 10 drops of oil into your skin for a minute or so (oil does a great job of breaking up and removing makeup). Then remove the oil using a washcloth and very warm water. Afterwards, gently pat your face dry – the oils will have settled into your skin nicely, though you can certainly apply more if your skin is on the drier side.

Q: Will the Beauty Blends irritate my skin?

A: The oils used in the Beauty Blends are extremely nourishing to your skin and should soothe rather than cause irritation.

But everyone’s body and skin is different. So as when trying any new skincare product, I recommend doing a patch test of the Beauty Blend on your inner forearm before applying to your face.
