Smooth & Rich Cocoa Banana Ice Cream
Real Food Recipes Recipes
At the cocoa, cocoa banana…
Yummy satisfaction was always the fashion. At the cocoooooa, cocoa banaaanaaaaa!!
(Please tell me you know the classic Barry Manilow song Copacabana so I’m not over here looking like a fool singing all by my lonesome.)
OK OK, so that’s NOT how the song goes. But this foodified version is the unofficial little theme song to go along with this homemade cocoa banana ice cream. You won’t see it in the directions below, but trust me: singing it makes the delicious experience that much more enjoyable.
Smooth & Rich Cocoa Banana Ice Cream:
This real food treat is as delicious as it is simple.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tablespoons raw cacao
Directions
Cut the bananas into ½ inch thick pieces. Place the banana pieces in a freezer-safe container and freeze for a minimum of 4 hours. When ready, place the frozen banana pieces in a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth. Add the cacao powder and blend some more. That’s it! Now just serve and enjoy.
This looks so yummy. And it’s an awesome ice cream/frozen yogurt alternative for the vegan community. I’m definitely going to have to try this…putting the bananas in the freezer now! Thanks for the share! 🙂
